This is my least favorite of the series. I have read the other two novels and two novellas in short order and have enjoyed them all. I could swoon over Aden, follow Griffin to the ends of the earth and admire Dominic for his work and devotion to finding Chloe. However, Will doesn't do anything for me. He seems to fall in lust with Evie, but not in love. Maybe that is because he has always loved her and she him. He isn't tragic or misguided, just sexually frustrated and a bit crude. Wolf is his nickname. Maybe that explains it. I found Alec and his caustic relationship with Eden more interesting and I look forward to the next book which features them. The story is perhaps better than the others, more plausible. Certainly the Irish immigrated to England despite their bad feelings and their unwanted Catholicism. Some were treated badly and wanted to retaliate. The investigation that Will and Alec are assigned to conduct is realistic as long as you recall that Dominic is the oddest matchmaker ever penned.

How to Plan a Wedding for a Royal Spy The Renegade Royals Vanessa Kelly 9781420131260 Books Reviews
At first I found this book a little slow. Some of it was repetitive and that kind of slowed me down. The hero and heroine were interesting but I think I liked the secondary characters better. No real action till almost the end of the book. I think it kind of leads you into Alex and Eden's story. Looking forward to that book. I like Ms. Kelly's books so always enjoy the new ones coming out.
Even though it was not as exciting as her sister in how to marry a Royal highlander, I still found this book to be witty and funny to some extent. I do wish though that I could find an author who does straight romance writing instead of this romance/mystery that everybody seems to be doing these days. Wit and humour are most welcome
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but this one was disappointing and frankly, irritating. The heroine was a ninny. The plot was contrived. I get the feeling that authors are pushing too hard to keep a series going. I'll still read your books Vanessa, but I hope you give yourself time to come up with more believable characters.
Took me awhile to read this book. The first half was extremely boring, as Ms. Kelly was setting the plot for this book. It was really disappointing--nothing started to really happen until the second half.
I can't say enough about Ms. Kelly's knack for characterization. The relationship between Evie and Edie, their parents (particularly their frequently misguided mother), and Will and his friend Alec (surely the next of the not-so-royal brood to be struck by Cupid's arrow) give the story authenticity. Hovering over the courtship—if it can be called that—is a dangerous secret that threatens to wreak havoc on the security of England…and yet Ms. Kelly manages to weave it all together with a light touch of humor, leaving no doubts in the reader's mind that Will and Evie's romance will stand the test of time.
Highly recommended read!
I waited excitedly for this book after reading the first two. Will / Wolf and Evie / Evelyn's story was so full of daring, mystery, and fun. Vanessa has given this story it's own unique brand of HEA that you just want to devour the book as quickly as you can. I felt sorry for Michael and just know that he and Evie will remain friends. As Will and Alex track the names on the list to uncover who is behind the plot and who is the leader, the reader gets to see the romance blossom between Will and Evie. Add in the jealousy factor of both Wil and Michael to Evie's tender heart and you have the love triangle with great drama. Lady Reese's turn around to Will gives the added Family conflict. Can't wait for the next book.
This book was full of excitement and intrigue and I really enjoyed reading it. At times Evie very much got on my nerves! Her undying loyalty to Michael was at times sickening. I wanted to wring her neck on several occasions. I really liked Will and I am very much looking forward to reading about Eden and Alec!
